Munich and Slough

Dates: May 7th (leaving Seattle) to May 14 (left for Norway).
This was a business trip to Amazon's location in Germany (Munich) and England (Slough). The first night, I stayed at the Regent Hotel, Seidelstraße 2. It was a great hotel. Inexpensive, right next to the train station, and only a 10 minute walk to downtown.
The remaining time in Munich was spent at the Park Inn (originally referred to as "The Country Manor"), 20-22 Frankfurter Ring. To get there, just take the U2 subway to Frankfurter Ring (see the subway map below).
I also visited Dachau and Norway on this trip.

Diary:
Saturday, May-8. Arrived Munich on the Lufthansa Airbus A-380, took the S-bahn to the Central Station (Hauptbahnhof), and walked into the Regent Hotel at 11 am. The hotel is right across the street (Arnulfstraße) from the train station. Since the hotel woudln't be ready until 2 PM, I left the suitcase and walked over to the Marienplatz. There were a ton of Werder Bremen fans arouns as they beat the local Bayarn München team and clinched the 2004 title in the Bundesliga. I also located the Dahlmeyer store where I purchased a half-liter of the lemon liquor. I walked over to the Viktualienmarkt and onwards to the Isar river. The I circled back to the Sendlinger Tor, where there was a lot of eating and drinking going on. The evening was quiet. I ate dinner at the hotel and turned in early after the long flight.

On Sunday, I visited Dachau. Monday and Tuesday was spent at Amazon, Germany. On Wednesday, we flew over to Slough (outside London). I stayed in the Slough area until I left for Norway on Friday morning.
