Grounding a Sea Sport in Bellingham

Date: March 15, 2003.
John Gehlen, Carol, and I went to Bellingham to test some Sea Sports in windy conditions. Thanks to BoonDocks Boats and Motors we got to test an Explorer 2400 and an Sportsman 2200.
We had some excitement smashing through 6-10 feet waves, but the boats handled it without a hitch. We did have an interesting side show when the Explorer failed to go into reverse and consequently drove onto land. We did get it moved back into place with only a few scrapes and bruises.
Our contact was Jon Rick, Sales Manager at BoonDocks. To find BoonDocks, drive north to exit 256, exit to the left onto Meridian, take a right at the third light onto Squalicum Pkwy, and it will be on the left as we get to the water.

On the way back, we stopped by at Master Marine Services, Inc., where we saw some Osprey boats. They are also quite nice, and we got an offer from Larry Carpenter to come back for a test drive.

The Lucy pictures were taken the next day after giving her an ox bone.
